Hi, I'm Tim Kelly.
Misdiagnosis ran through my family for decades. I lived through mania, depression, the crash, and the rebuilding. I created Chaos 2 Clarity so others don't have to do it alone.
During our sessions you will hear my full story, from my highest of highs to my lowest of lows, and how I've come out the other side—and we'll create space to explore yours.
Peer-led support from someone who has lived the highs, the lows, and the emotional lineage behind bipolar disorder.
The world can feel too loud — or suddenly too quiet.
You're tired of explaining your cycles to people who only understand bipolar from textbooks or brief appointments.
You don't need a clinical lecture.
You need a roadmap from someone who has lived the life.
At Chaos 2 Clarity, we don't just talk about symptoms.
We talk about lived navigation, emotional patterns, and the real-world consequences of a mind that doesn't slow down when you need it to.
I was in my late twenties when my father was first diagnosed with depression.
It seemed to make sense at the time; his grandmother had lived her entire life battling severe depression. So when my father became unwell, the diagnosis felt logical.
More than twenty-five years later, I was diagnosed with Bipolar I.
By then, my father had been hospitalised seven times for depression. He'd been treated, medicated, stabilised, destabilised — always under the same diagnosis.
Looking back, the shock and stress of watching my father be so ill may have triggered manic episodes in myself.
If my father had been diagnosed accurately earlier, my own episodes might have been recognised decades sooner. My life could have taken a very different shape.
When I finally began studying bipolar disorder in depth, I saw it clearly: we shared the same condition — but expressed it in opposite ways.
My Father: moderate mania, severe depression
Me: moderate depression, severe mania
Eventually, I raised this with his psychiatrist. Her response changed everything:
"You might be right."
My father had likely been misdiagnosed and treated under an incomplete understanding for thirty years.
That moment reframed my entire life, my family history, and planted the seed for Chaos 2 Clarity.
Before I found clarity, I lived at a velocity that wasn't sustainable.
Surviving on almost no sleep. Buried in obsessive projects that made perfect sense in the moment — and absolutely no sense outside it. It's exciting in the moment — until the consequences catch up with you.
Being the loudest in the room. The most generous. The most energetic — unaware the fire was burning through my resources, my relationships, and my stability.
The exhaustion of rebuilding after an episode. The apologies. The consequences. The people who quietly stepped back each time.
If any of this sounds familiar, you already know why textbook advice isn't enough.
I've been to the furthest edges of this condition. I share it because it's why I can support others with honesty, perspective, and clarity.
When we are in the middle of an episode, we do things that don't make sense to the outside world.
Here, you don't have to filter your past or hide your mistakes.
Nothing you say will shock me.
Whether your mania took you to the party, the betting shop, or the boardroom—this is a non-judgmental space where the "shame" of the condition is stripped away so we can focus on the recovery.
You're not talking to someone analysing you — you're talking to someone who's lived it.
I don't teach theory. I share the practical patterns and strategies that helped me stabilise, repair, and rebuild.
Learn to understand your triggers and recognise "manic logic" before it takes hold.
Note: This support complements clinical care — it does not replace it.
Every session is shaped by the people in the room.
There's no rigid agenda — we follow the conversation where it leads, while keeping everyone safe and supported. My role is to provide guidance, share lived experience, and help you navigate the highs, lows, and everything in between.
Some of the ways we work together include:
Exploring emotional patterns, triggers, and early warning signs — helping you make sense of your experiences in real time.
Developing practical strategies to protect relationships, stability, and wellbeing during challenging moments.
Supporting you after intense periods to rebuild, repair, and strengthen long-term stability.
Whether the narrative is led by me, by the group, or wherever the conversation takes us, sessions are always participant-centered, flexible, and grounded in lived experience.
